  3. Hannah C Says:

    i use herbel essences

i kind of switch shampoo all of the time

i have used pantene before and i liked it but i just like to try new stuff

  4. Laura Says:

Salon shampoo is the best, if you’re using 4-5 dollar shampoo from the store its best to switch it up every couple of months so you’re not clogged up there.

  5. chello Says:

I love it. it makes my hair strong and it smells good for a long time.

  6. shirubiah Says:

i haate pantene makes my hair dry. i kinda prefer our brand here in the philippines, its pretty mild and with good results too.

  7. rel girl Says:

i loveeeeeee pantene, i have very thick curly hair and no matter what kinda knots i have, pantene always makes them go away instantly, the conditioner feels thicker than most other products, but it really leaves your hair much shinier, healthier, and it smells amazing for hours! I also enjoy Garnier Fructis, and Treseme products, all can be store bought.

  8. gr82cu Says:

My cosmetician says that Pantene contains a lot of wax to make hair shiny but is really bad for your hair. I use Tresemme.

Like other ppl said too, it does make my head itchy.

  9. toady82176 Says:

i had a salon tell me pantene puts a wax on your hair which makes it shiny, it also can lock out moisture, i use finesse daily and tresemme 3 times a week

  10. Panda Says:

baby shampoos and conditioners work best for me even thoughi m a 17 year old guy i use them. they are the best u can get they r for babies work amazing. pricey though.

All the hair dressers I know ouldnt use it. They say there are fillers and wax. I personally dont like it. It costs to much. If Im going to spend that much I can go to the salon. They lways have sales.

  14. SummaWumma Says:

Every Salon I’ve been to has said not to use Pantene. I like herbal Essence if you want to go cheap. Or use the good stuff like Paul Mitchell.

  15. Maree86 Says:

pantene always leaves my hair abnormaly slippery and shiny. It is like putting plastic coating on each strand of hair i do not reccommend it! it also promotes dandruff and an itchy scalp, just my opinion tho.

  16. ••★ Katie ★•• Says:

personally, i absolutely LOVE pantene-proV hair care shampoo’s and conditioners!!
They work very well for frizz and damage.
However, if you use too much of the conditioner, it seems to actually make your hair look “greasy!” and who wants that right? so if you choose to use the pantene, only use a small bit of each ..
herbal essences is great too, but seems to dry out my hair more..
    but smells nice! lol
john freida frizzeaze is nice too.
helps control frizz and dry hair!
    good luck in choosing!

  17. Gee, its Bree! Says:

its actually really bad for your hair
it puts a wax coating on your hair.
my hair dresser knew just by looking at my hair that i used pantene. she told me how bad it was!

  18. ChitLea Says:

Ive used pantene before and its been fine… but i switch shampoo and conditioners every time i need new stuff. Its bad for your hair to use the same stuff all the time. You get build up and such. I really like Herbal Essence and Infusium. Also the Garnier frutis stuff is pretty good. Anything that is shampoo plus conditioner doesnt work for my hair. It doesn’t condition for squat.

  19. kcini8 Says:

Sally Beauty Supply has a brand called Hemp (shampoo and conditioner), really ,and the mousse is the only brand that works for my hair

  20. Transformers2020 Says:

Try a whole foods store or something more organic.
Shampoo and soap are absorbed through your skin.

Do you really want to take in all those chemicals? If you don’t believe me that your skin absorbs it right into your blood streem just do a search on the article on girl dies of sport scream.
Search on Mercola.com site. There is tones of evidence on the web as well.

  21. sprite Says:

I’ve heard a lot of horror stories about Pantene… all the stuff in it burning scalps, frying hair, damage… I’ll never use it so I can’t really attest for it myself.

  22. Barbie V Says:

one of my daughters uses their new range Ice shine? and her hair is lovely but it made my scalp itch

  23. steven m Says:

the TV ads for shampoo never say they will make your hair healthy

    They say words like nourish.
    But only say
“Make your hair LOOK healthy and clean” or something similar
they make all kinds of good sounding claims – But only say this will give you “Healthier Looking hair”

who knows what they are really doing,,

  24. PrincessP Says:

Pantene is very good because it smells great. I use Head and Shoulders because I think it smells fresh and clean. I also like herbal because it smells great but it makes my hair dry.

  25. Mis Says:

Like the majority of people have stated- yes Pantene puts a waxy film on your hair. That is how they guarentee that your split ends will be gone in one week.

It is okay to use Pantene- I just wouldn’t use it frequently. You can always use a clarifying shampoo to help strip away some of the gunk Pantene puts on your hair.

    Good luck!

  26. Dori G Says:

I have used salon products, as well as the cheaper “drugstore” products. The salon products are a waste of money, they’re all pretty much the same. Read the list of ingredients on the backs of the bottles. You might want to check out this lady that wrote a book called “Don’t Go to t he Makeup Counter Without Me”, her name is Paula Begoun, I think that’s how it’s spelled, she has a website, plus enewsletter and that sort of thing. She extensively researches ALL products with no bias whatsoever. She rates everything, check it out.

  27. justme1 Says:

I go to Sally Beauty Supply and pick up shampoo and conditioner by the gallon. Sometimes name brand, sometimes house brand, and the prices start at like 5 bucks. It’s the same stuff that salons buy and just put in whatever bottles are laying around. You can add water to stretch it or use it full-strength. When the gallons are finally gone, I just switch off to another one.

It’s not so much the brand that I look at in Sally, it’s the price point, and honestly, I have had no problems with any of their shampoos or conditioners in the gallon sizes. Right now I’m about 3/4 of the way through “Salon Care Professional” with a wild cherry scent. Good stuff and I think they were about $7 a piece. They last a long time.

  28. shortnsweet Says:

herbal essances!! smellls soooo soo good even ppl at school noticed lol

  29. Heather B Says:

I have found that the cheaper the shampoo the better it is as there is not as many chemicals in it! i use Herbal Essences Fruit Fusions Citrus Lift, it leaves my hair really soft!

  30. ladyinblue218 Says:

Pantene is good only if u use it with the conditioner otherwise your hair will become dry. Personally i make use Pantene shampoo with St Ives conditioner and it has done miracles for my hair so do try it out

  31. britt luvs u Says:

i don’t use pantene because it makes your hair really greasy. i use aussie shampoo and garnier fructis conditioner.
